Prof. Yang received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Toronto and his bachelor's degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology.
Research Interests
Zhengbao's research explores the coupling of mechanical energy and electrical energy, inspired by the famous quote from Nikola Tesla: "If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration." Zhengbao and his interdisciplinary group have utilized knowledge and skills from Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering to invent new sensors, actuators, ultrasound transducers, and bioelectronic devices. According to Google Scholar, he has published over 160 academic journal articles and more than 30 invention patents. Citations by 2025 exceed 10,000, and the h-index is 51.
